Basic
With the basic version we offer a professional IPTC-editor with a lot of automatisms for little money.
The CaptionWriter II galleries visualize your digital images. The content of the chosen folder appears in the gallery as thumbnails.
The pictures in the gallery can be sorted according to various criteria and the thumbnails are shown in different sizes.
With the file-explorer on the left side of the gallery you can copy, move and delete files by drag&drop. You also can build new folders or rename them.
With the multidescription-editor you can insert the description in all selected files of a folder (incl. all subfolders). This editor offers a lot of functions (like PopUp-lists, Thesaurus, Hash-function).

Modules
Find&Replace-Module
With this module you can search for IPTC-terms through all pictures of a folder (incl. subfolders). The result will be shown in a new gallery. Then you can replace the terms in all pictures.
ImportExport-Module
This module offers an import or export via text files. The IPTC information of all selected files can be exported into a text file. Vice versa it can import all information from a text file and automatically add it to the IPTC information of the files. In such the CaptionWriter offers an easy and simple way to import and export information from or to other storages like databases or excel sheets.
Workflow-Module
An unlimited number of workflow buttons can be added and their purpose be edited. The buttons appear in every gallery and editor. When pressed, the workflow buttons copy, move, print or thrash the selected files. (On the version Macintosh the workflow buttons can initiate the execution of an apple script).
FolderWatch-Module
The user can keep an eye on one or more folders. Once the content of a folder has changed the user will be notified by the FolderWatch module, either by an alert, a beep or via blinking icon. When closing the system, CaptionWriter will remember the state and will notify the user on the next start if the content has changed.
AppleScript-Module
All functions of the CaptionWriter can be included into and automized with apple scripts.
